Sourdough mother - Day 5

Morning.


Good morning. Well, I did say it is a waiting game at this stage. Still not a lot happening. This could be because of how very cold it has been here, or because of the heaviness of the batter last night, or it could simply be that she needs a little more time. Here, let’s have a look.


Lots of little baby bubbles, yes, I am encouraged, let’s give her a feed and we will see what she is up to this afternoon.

Discard about 3/4 of the mix and stir in 40g of quinoa flour and 50g (ml) water, I am hedging my bets here and added a tiny bit more water until my consistency was like this.


Right, lid back on, we will pop back this evening for night feed and a peep at progress.
