Plums

I have just been out for a little chat with the plum trees and they gave me the first of the plums, some satsumas and two greengage (I ate one straight off the tree). They are small this year, the satsuma not much bigger than a large cherry, but wonderful sweet and intense in flavour. I have a nice little shortcake recipe I have been thinking about modifying to gluten and dairy free, hmmm. Maybe this weekend a bit of a play in the Cookie House is in order.
